A Veritable Almanac!
This very large trellis was intended to support an evergreen Jasmine climbing plant that can grow up to 5 metres in height. The trellis was later attached to a very large planter which was clad in wood (described on another page).
This trellis was made using a very convenient 12 pack of treated wood from a well known DIY store.
Each lath measured approximately 2.4 metres long with a cross-sectional area of 38 x 18 millimetres.
A gauge was used to determine the spacing between the laths before securing with nails, staples or screws. (I used screws) The gauge was a piece of wood 150 millimetres wide and about a meter long.
